Barbarian Stat Priorities

Staying alive as a Barbarian in Inferno can be a challenge even if you are geared correctly. Here I will set the standard for what you need and why you need it.

This is for Inferno Group Play.

Dexterity Semi-Useless (Dodge Chance)
Crit ChanceSemi-Useless
Intelligence = Semi-Useless (Resistance)

Main Stat Priority

DPS
Weapon Damage > Strength > Crit Chance > Crit Damage > Attack Speed

Survivability
Resist All > % Life Increase > Vitality > Life On Hit > Attack Speed > Strength

These six stats are each have huge advantages and will keep you alive. Your job as a Barbarian is to tank the mobs, and absorb the damage.

Your resists and vitality will let you take more damage before anything you're doing becomes dangerous. As a barbarian you should be stacking as much + Resist All as possible to minimize all damage you take.

Some of your main attacks (ie; Revenge and Overpower) restore a percentage of your total health with every target hit. As such, the more life you can achieve the more you will heal yourself. Stacking Vitality and % Life Increase will help keep you alive.

With life on hit and attack speed you will be restoring your life at a rate that should be more than adequate if you achieve somewhere around 300 life on hit, but really the more the better.

Your very last priority is Strength. Even though it is technically your primary stat, you should be after this dead last. It is great for increasing your damage, but you as a barbarian, are a tank. Let the higher dps classes take the monsters down while you hold them still like a pro.

Monk Stat Priority

Staying alive as a Monk in Inferno can be a challenge if you are geared incorrectly. Here I will set the standard for what you need and why you need it.

Strength Semi-Useless (Armor)
Crit ChanceSemi-Useless
Intelligence = Semi-Useless (Resistance)

Main Stat Priority

DPS
Weapon Damage > Dexterity > Crit Chance > Crit Damage > Attack Speed

Survivability
Life On Hit > Attack Speed > Resist > Vitality > Dexterity

These five stats are your bread and butter.

With life on hit and attack speed you will be restoring your life at a rate that should be more than adequate if you achieve somewhere around 900 life on hit, but really the more the better.

Your job as a monk is to tank the mobs, and to help your party.

Your resists and vitality will let you take more damage before anything you're doing becomes dangerous. As a monk using One With Everything, you should be stacking a single type of resist, such as cold or arcane, but only one! Resist All is for Barbarians, stay away from it! It should be easier to get anyway.

Your very last priority is Dexterity. Even though it is technically your primary stat, you should be after this dead last. It is great for increasing your damage, but you as a monk, are a party buff and a tank. Let the higher dps classes take the monsters down while you hold them still like a pro.

Monk 200k Inferno Challenge

This video gives great insight to how to gear a monk with very little gold and how to clear out inferno with said gear.

Demon Hunter Farming Build

Link to My Build
A friend of mine was nice enough to link me to the video below, and this is definitely how a Demon Hunter should be played while farming in Inferno. Below is the skills I believe he is using. This is a much higher AoE build.

1. Evasive Fire - Covering Fire
This is your main attack, it's a great aoe, that builds up your Hatred, unless an enemy is close, then it will disengage to keep you out of harms way.

2. Spike Trap - Scatter
This is a great AoE burst for rare groups and specials.

3. Smoke Screen - Lingering Fog
Press this if you're about to take damage or need to get away from something!

4. Cluster Arrow - Maelstrom
This is another great targetable AoE burst for rare groups that will help heal you if you get low.

5. Fan of Knives - Fan of Daggers
If anything gets too close to you and you're out of Discipline, pop this and chances are good that it will stun the monster so you can get away.

6. Preparation - Backup Plan
If you're out of Discipline press this.

7. Tactical Advantage
A good run speed boost to pair with your smoke screen to help get you out of harms way.

8. Sharpshooter
This build is pretty bursty, especially if you're getting critical hits.

9. Vengeance
Hopefully you're using a two-handed crossbow to get the extra + Crit Damage.

Check out the video, this guy is pretty quick at clearing out the second half of Act III!

Wizard Build DPS

Link to My Build
Wizards, how to play like nothing was ever in your way to begin with.

1. Hydra - Venom Hydra
Venom Hydra because they do rediculous amounts of damage and their venom dot can crit which procs your critical mass like crazy. They do more damage than any other hydra especially to large groups.

2. Arcane Orb - Tap the Source
Really whatever you prefer using. I like Tap the Source just because you can put out more single target damage with it when needed. Celestial is a bit better than tap the source for bigger aoe groups.

3. Teleport - Fracture
This is an escape method and a bit of tanking from your images which buys you more time to dps. Another 2 spells in 1; teleport and mirror images.

4. Diamond Skin - Crystal Shell
Diamond skin with crystal shell because its pretty much double the absorb amount 2 spells in 1 ftw.

5. Energy Armor - Force Armor
Force armor for Act 1 & 2 is crucial, Act 3 & 4 its only good if you're a bit tanky which you kind of need to be to survive. Cant be complete glass in Act 3 & 4 or everything one shots you even through force armor after they nerfed it.

6. Magic Weapon - Force Weapon
This is awesome because it gives you a shit load of damage;15% more damage, just for no reason. Also adds a knock back to your spells. Always useful!

7. Glass Cannon
Glass Cannon is a given.

8. Galvanizing Ward
This is for the life regen while kiting. its 100% necessary for Diablo Inferno and most Act bosses on Inferno.

9. Critical Mass
Super sexy cd reduction if your crit is high. If our crit is shit then its useless.

Also you can swap galvanizing ward out for evocation 15% cd reduction for even more cd reduction if you're confident in your survivability.

And swap Venom Hydras for Shock Pulse Piercing Orb if you have issues with arcane power with this build.

Wizard Build Survival

Link to My Build
Wizards, how to play like nothing was ever in your way to begin with.

1. Spectral Blade - Healing Blades
The rune on spectral blades and one of the passive traits are what the crit is needed for. Healing Blades will heal you for 8% of your life whenever you crit.

2. Arcane Orb - Tap the Source
Arcane orb...Is just...sex. And the rune on it reduces the arcane energy needed to cast it so it can be spammed for a good 3-5 seconds.

3. Diamond Skin - Mirror Skin
Essentially if you have a high enough crit chance you can have Diamond skin up 100% of the time.

4. Hydra - Mammoth Hydra
Hydra is by far the highest DPS skill for that slot so it should never be changed to any other skill. The element chosen for it doesn't really matter in the end. But mammoth does a line of fire that stays for a few seconds.

5. Magic Weapon - Blood Magic
Blood Magic on the weapon enchant is another self healing rune. So it's useful to have. Although the poison enchant will give a higher damage boost.

6. Mirror Image - Mirror Mimics
Mirror Image has been a favorite for me but I know some people prefer Archon. For me mirror image has gotten me out of a lot of tight binds by distracting mobs. Archon is a good fuck ya'll ability. But your survival goes way down while in that form.

7. Glass Cannon
Glass Cannon is a given.

8. Critical Mass
Critical Mass will reduce your cooldowns by 1 sec everytime you crit. Which is one of the reasons you are able to keep uptime on Diamond Skin high.

9. Blur
Also, a given.

Monk Build

Here's the scoop on how to take turn the tides with a Monk as your weapon.
Link to My Build

This is the set I use, anything can be swapped for something your prefer more. Remember this is my preference!

1. Deadly Reach - Keen Eye
This is a great single target and AoE attack that will drop the monsters you're fighting in no time! Keen Eye puts a special twist on it because as a tank, especially in inferno, you need all the armor you can get!

2. Breath of Heaven - Blazing Wrath
As every player knows, having a monk means having a healer! Blazing Wrath to obliterate your enemies is just a bonus.

3. Serenity - Ascension
Being immune is like playing with God Mode activated... Who doesn't love that?

4. Blinding Flash - Self Reflection
This will save you in times of heavy fire so you can get the spirit you need to heal, or run, whichever is more likely to keep you alive.

5. Mystic Ally - Earth Ally
Being a tank is great, but having a tank that holds aggro for you is on a whole next level of bad ass.

6. Mantra of Healing - Time of Need
You will be taking heavy damage as a monk, I mean, you're tanking right? This will negate at least some of the damage you're taking.

7. One With Everything
In Inferno, resistances are everything. Buying a set of gear with just one type of resistance is going to cost you a hell of a lot less on the AH than gear with +Resist All

8. Seize the Initiative
As stated in the first skill, you need all the armor you can get! Considering Dexterity is your main stat, you should get one hell of a lot of armor!

9. Resolve
Again, you're going to be taking a lot of damage. Any damage you can take away from the monsters is going to be a huge benefit for you.

Sarkoth Gold Farming

This is a guide for farming gold off of a constant boss named Sarkoth

1. Select the "Legacy of Cain" quest and the second part called "Explore Cellar". Start the game. This can be done at lower difficulties if you do not have a level 60.

2. Use the Waypoint to travel to "The Old Ruins".

3. Run Northwest until you find the cellar to the north. You will pass a checkpoint, making this farming method even faster if you continue to do it more than once.It is named "Dank Cellar". This cellar is not always open, if it is not, restart the game and look for it again.

4. Enter the cellar and you should see Sarkoth and 4-5 members of his pack. If you play a ranged class this group is extremely easy. You can stay behind the doorway and kill the entire group without even being attacked. If you are a melee class you will have to get your hands dirty, but these mobs die quickly and don't hit too hard.

5. This will be your reward. It this particular run was done on Inferno, with 259% Gold Find. If you get more gold find, this will be even more lucrative for you.

6. Teleport to town and resume game. You should start at the checkpoint at the beginning of "New Tristram". A run should take about 20 seconds if the cellar is closed and about a 45 seconds if you get to kill him.

This was my reward from just one run! 6024 Gold and a blue. Gems and rares / legendaries are extremely common here.

Happy Farming!

The Auction House; and How to Play It

Many people are learning the ropes of Diablo and have not yet invested the time to earn money by playing the Auction House. Fortunately for you, I'm here to guide you through it.

A common way to make money on the AH is to buy low, and sell high. Everyone knows that. So if you can find good gear on the AH with desirable stats that you can get for super cheap, do it!

Personally I try to go for commodity auctions; ie : Gems, Tomes, Pages, Recipes, etc...

While the game is still new and people don't know what values items have, NOW is a great time to snag some really great profit. Sometimes you can snag things up for less gold than the vendors would have paid.

In the video below there is a great recording of a guy catching a gem for 2,890% pure profit.

Cancelling Auctions

One thing that's driving me crazy about the Diablo 3 Auction House is that you can't do anything with your auctions once they've been made, until they expire. And if you've over shot the market value of whatever you're trying to sell, you're going to be waiting for 36 hours to try a reprice.

Apparently there is a way around this.

Change your computer's local date two days prior and you should be able to cancel any auctions you have up that don't have a bid on them.

Barbarian Build

Link to My Build

Wondering how to destroy everything in your path as a Barbarian?
This is the set I use, and I'll tell you why. My typical playstyle for Barbarian is pulling as big of groups as I possibly can and AoE them down.

1. Cleave - Rupture
Cleave is a great skill that does a great deal of damage if you've got enough mobs with you. Rupture rune will cause targets you kill with cleave to explode and cause more damage. This effect does chain off of itself, so a good cleave can wipe up a group of 20+ monsters.

2. Overpower - Revel
Overpower is a great AoE that does a ton of damage. The only downfall on this is the cooldown. Paired with Revel, this ability will help keep you alive when you are taking a lot of damage.

3. Ground Stomp - Wrenching Smash
Most people I've seen do not use Ground Stomp but I find my Barbarian extremely disabled without it. The stun on the ability works on everything, including bosses, and Wrenching Smash only brings in your group of enemies closer to your AoE destruction.

4. Revenge - Provocation
Revenge is another great AoE for you and heals you immensly. The Provocation rune will ensure it is up whenever you need it.

5. War Cry - Invigorate
War Cry is great with because it increases your health, thus increasing how much you heal. This can be runed with Impunity if you are taking too much damage but I like the passive healing.

6. Wrath of the Berserker - Insanity
Wrath of the Berserker is a huge buff, if you're having trouble taking something down, pop this cooldown and mobs will fall down around you. Insanity just makes it like they were never there, except you still get the loot!

7. Pound of Flesh
Barbarians as a melee class take a lot of damage. Pound of flesh makes sure there is always a health globe when you need it, and each one should bring you damn near full life.

8. Ruthless
Ruthless doesn't need an explanation, just a great damage boost.

9. Berserker Rage
With this build you don't use very much rage at all, you should almost always be full while in a fight. Hence, more damage for you.

If you need survivability over damage, try Tough as Nails, Nerves of Steel, or Relentless. Using one will make you tough, all three make you damn near invincible.

Demon Hunter Tips

Demon Hunter Build

Many of you are wondering what skills you should be using as a Demon Hunter.
Link to My Build
This is the set I use, and I'll explain why. My typical playstyle is either soloing in Inferno, or leveling up some of my friends in lesser difficulties.

1. Hungering Arrow - Devouring Arrow
I use this as my main single target damaging move when I'm out of Hatred. The 70% extra damage per pierce is a huge buff for every shot, some arrows will pierce up to three or four times adding up to + 210-280% damage per pierce per shot.

2. Elemental Arrow - Nether Tentacles
This is my normal dps move for multiple targets and bosses, the life steal on this is great, and it will hit each target it goes through two times if they are standing still and continues through everything in it's path. This skill will clear out large groups fast.

3. Evasive Fire - Displace
Evasive Fire is a great skill for keeping out of harms way, for only four discipline you will backflip 30 yards away from enemies in melee range of you so you can continue your assault on them.

4. Vault - Tumble
Personally I am a very impatient person, and running around dungeons is not something I want to spend all day doing. I opted for this paired with Tactical Advantage so I can basically sprint through dungeons.

5. Multishot - Fire at Will
This is a huge radius aoe that does some massive damage. Coupled with fire at will so you can chain cast more of them and clear out your enemies before having to recuperate your hatred.

6. Marked for Death - Mortal Enemy
This skill is amazing for boss fights in two great ways. Increasing damage and regenerating tons of hatred. With this skill on a boss you can chain your Elemental Arrow for much longer than you regularly would.

7. Tactical Advantage
As stated with Vault, I like to run through dungeons. I'm impatient.

8. Steady Aim
This skill speaks for itself adding an extra 20% damage whenever you are not near an enemy, and you're a Demon Hunter, really this should have 100% uptime.

9. Vengeance
I use this skill because I tend to get a very large amount of health globes... Having this bring my hatred and discipline up keeps my dps uptime higher and keeps me clearing dungeons quickly.

Demon Hunter Stat Priority

as many of you Demon Hunters are beginning to learn, every stat does a very important job. The question is, how much of each do you need.

Crit Damage vs Dexterity vs Crit Chance vs Attack Speed

Vitality = Useless
Strength = Useless
Intelligence = Useless

The key here is to get the right combination of all of them.

Main Stat Priority

Dexterity > Crit Damage > Crit Chance > Attack Speed

Many of you know Athene from youtube. In this video he sums it all up for everyone.

Gold Find

I began to wonder what the fastest way to collect gold would be so I did a little research. You can find, or buy, gear with +% Extra Gold from Monsters.

All gear can have this stat on it and I did some calculations to find out how much total GF you can achieve not including your +75% from Nephalem Valor.

Adding everything up you can have:
  • 50% - Amulet slot
  • 275% - All other slots except weapon: 11 * 25% (head, shoulders, chest, bracers, gloves, belt, legs, boots, rings, offhand)
  • 31% - Radiant Star Emerald in Helmet gem slot
  • 10% - Follower amulet slot: 50%x.2
  • 15% - Follower ring and offhand slots (3x25%)x.2
  • 75% - Nephalem Valor
  • 25% - Shrine of Fortune
  • 10% - Demon Hunter Ferret Companion
381% - Armor Contributed
100% - Nephalem Valor and Shrine
481% - Grand Total (Demon Hunter = 491%)

That is a crazy amount of extra gold... Let's say a monster in nightmare was supposed to drop a reasonable 419 gold for you when you killed him. With all this gear on you would get a whopping 2,015 for a singular monster.

Happy Hunting!

Magic Find

I began to wonder what the fastest way to MF (Magic Find) would be so I did a little research. You can find, or buy, gear with +% Better Chance of Finding Magical Items.

All gear can have this stat on it and I did some calculations to find out how much total MF you can achieve not including your +75% from Nephalem Valor.

Adding everything up you can have:
  • 45% - Amulet slot
  • 220% - All other slots except weapon: 11 * 20% (head, shoulders, chest, bracers, gloves, belt, legs, boots, rings, offhand)
  • 31% - Radiant Star Topaz in Helmet gem slot
  • 9% - Follower amulet slot: 45%x.2
  • 12% - Follower ring and offhand slots (3x20%)x.2
  • 75% - Nephalem Valor
  • 25% - Shrine of Fortune

    317% - Armor Contributed
100% - Nephalem Valor and Shrine
    417% - Grand Total
Happy Hunting!

Diablo III

Diablo III was first announced on June 28, 2008, at the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational in Paris, France. After about 4 years, the minions of hell have been unleashed on the public as of May 15, 2012.

Many players have already achieved their first level 60 (which is the maximum level attainable) characters and are either working on their next characters or starting their farming.

Something new in the third installment is that gold is no longer useless with an account wide gold wallet, and stash. Also included is a gold based auction house for items and gear, and a real money auction house for everything, including gold.

There are many different ways you could plan to farm.
